HUGE MOVES is an event that brings together those who make wine and those who enjoy tasting it.

It’s Australia’s premier natural wine festival, hosted by Joel Amos and James Hird. Joel is the owner and operator of DRNKS and has hosted events such as Wet Dreams, Mental Notes, and Loose Lips in both Sydney and Brisbane. James is currently sommelier at large working with Maurice Terzini and was co-founder of the Rootstock Sydney Festival. The event provides an opportunity for the community to engage with natural wine producers, growers, and importers, as well as artisans behind rare spirits, craft beer, and sake. It’s a chance to meet the makers of these rare and sought-after products, as well as reuniting like-minded people after such an isolating year.

The event is underpinned by our love of wine, with a focus on engaging excellent wines from Australia and around the world. HUGE MOVES will take place later this year in Brisbane and Melbourne, with more cities to follow. It’s all about bringing people together to celebrate our community.

On the day, there will be two tasting sessions. The first session runs from 11am to 2pm, and the second runs from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Guests will have plenty of time to talk and taste during the three-hour intimate tasting sessions, which will take place overlooking the Tasman Sea. Following the second session, guests can enjoy a drink and some food in the Icebergs Bar, where they can meet the winemakers and listen to DJs until late. The bar will then be open to the public for good times starting at 6:30pm.

We will be serving food, snacks, and palate cleansers all day for those visiting the tasting. At the Icebergs Bar, there will be a rotating wine list sourced directly from the winemakers on the day, as well as a bottle shop run by DRNKS where you can purchase anything you enjoyed on the day.

Tickets to the Sydney HUGE MOVES Wine Party are on sale now and are extremely limited.
The event is for over 18’s only.
Tickets to the event are $65 + booking fee.
The Icebergs Bar will be open during your tasting if you feel like joining us for some snacks. All snacks will be charged on consumption on the day.

Huge Moves acknowledges the Gadigal, Birra-Birragal and Bidjigal people, the traditional custodians of the land on which this event takes place, and we pay our respects to their elders past and present.
