Maurice Terzini (Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, Da Orazio Pizza + Porchetta) and Giovanni Paradiso (Fratelli Paradiso, 10 William St) are bringing Italo Dining & Disco Club to Melbourne for the first time.

Friday 31st March, the duo have been invited to kick off the first night of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. The boys are throwing an Italian Street Party in homage to the culinary heart and soul of migrant Italian Australians – the humble suburban garage.

Following a successful series of events including pre and post show parties for Grace Jones at Vivid Festival, Warner Music ARIA Awards After Party, Good Food Month at the Icebergs Dining Room and Bar and the Rootstock Wine Festival closing party, the boys are back to present a modern interpretation of the good food, wine and music Italian’s enjoyed in Australia from the early 1900’s which all started in their own backyards.

Combining the talent of their four kitchens; Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, Da Orazio Pizza + Porchetta, Fratelli Paradiso and 10 William Street, experience. Expect Polenta & Anchovy, Pinzimonio, Cannelloni, Calamari Fritti e Peperoni, Backyard Pizza, Porchetta Panini, ‘Dixie’ Tiramisu and Chilled Watermelon topped with Citrus Sherbet.

Expect to see the Italo Dining and Disco Club riff on suburban bar drinks like Rosso Antico, Cynar, cans of beer, still fermenting wines, spritz and lo-fi wines. Fun drinks that are about sharing “from the barrel” and provide a backdrop to the food. Generous, simple and without edifice. Victorian winemaker Owen Latta is providing amazing wines, some that are still fermenting, and a red and white wine which will be used as the basis for a freestyle rose blend. Natural wines without addition channelling the backyard winemaking of the suburbs.

Giovanni Paradiso explains their vision was to create a new style of Italian dining and believed that the way people approach a night out is changing. ‘’We want a place where everyone can come and enjoy it in their own way. Whether it’s an aperitif and snacks, dancing to great music or just a fun night out with friends, there is something for everyone’’.

Music lies at the heart of Italo Dining & Disco Club and is purely inspired by Italo Disco. Local Melbourne DJs will battle it out going head to head in the suburban garage Italian street festival.
The ultimate street party for one night only, that promises to blur the lines between restaurant, club and bar.
