CLUB VINO N3 MIKE AYLWARD X JAMES JOHNSTON

Each month a friend of the house takes over the Icebergs Bar, bringing together a glass (or two) of something special and a pasta dish to match.

For Club Vino N°3, we welcome Mike Aylward of Ocean Eight Wines. A family winery in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula, making Chablis-inspired Chardonnay since 2004, back when the rest of the country was going the other way. James Johnston of World Wine Estates joins us to pour.

The Verve Chardonnay is fresh, mineral and made for the coast, so we’re serving oysters to pair, dressed with a mignonette made from the same wine. Yumbah Mussel & Cannellini Bean Cavatelli from the Icebergs kitchen to follow.

Casual, generous and made for winter at the bar. A standing invitation to drink well, eat simply and settle in with friends.
